Derrickman

The Derrickman´s responsibilities lie in the effective and safe operation and working condition of the derrick, mud pumps, drilling fluids, etc.

Responsibilities

* Conduct regular checks on pump room equipment and replace expendable parts if necessary.

* Maintains the mud pumps and repairs them if required.

* Maintains the shale shaker, desander, mud cleaner.

* Keep work areas tidy and clean

* Record mud pump running hours.

* Monitor mud pit levels and record drilling fluid properties as instructed by the Driller.

* Responsible for any transfer of mud.

Requirements

* Undertake training onshore and offshore

* Highschool diploma

Ideally:
* Completed CAS for position of Floorman

* Valid IWCF Well Control Certificate
